Palanor Data

The lattice, callable.

Palanor Data is the headless line of the Enterprise Intelligence Platform. It serves the signals, indices and refined datasets the platform reads to any agent or system, over MCP and a REST API, and into Python and Excel, with one key. Each value arrives with its source and its license.

Three tiers

Public data, cleaned. Palanor’s own readings. Filings, refined.

Open

Public-domain and openly licensed series, cleaned into one schema with full history: U.S. Treasury, BLS, EIA, CFTC, SEC, the World Bank, OECD and more.

Rights

Redistributable with the attribution each license asks for.

Access today

2,555 series served through the API and MCP today.

Examples

Derived

Numbers Palanor computes and nobody else sells: 40 Custom Indices with their components and weights, Schema readings, Current belief and momentum, Discourse scores, Foresight projections and the correlation lattice.

Rights

Palanor-owned. Read them through the API; use in a product, fund or redistribution is licensed by agreement.

Access today

Custom Indices, Currents and Discourse scores are in the API and MCP today. Schema readings, Foresight and the correlation lattice are read inside the platform.

Examples

Refined

Structured datasets Palanor extracts from public filings and records for the S&P 500, each row linked to the filing or record it came from.

Rights

Palanor-refined work over public-domain sources. Every row cites its source.

Access today

Guidance, risk factors, ownership, insiders, executive pay, corporate events, contracts, lobbying and patents are in the API and MCP. Congressional trades are published on public pages only.

Examples

Provenance

Every number names its source and its license.

Palanor keeps a ledger of every upstream it reads: who publishes it, the license it comes under, the attribution it asks for, and whether it may be passed on. Of the 129 sources in the ledger today, 71 may be redistributed.

The API and the MCP serve a signal only when its source may be redistributed. A source whose license is unknown stays inside the platform until someone has read its terms. Prices from a licensed market data provider are shown in the product and never leave through the API.

Refined rows go one step further: each carries the accession number and link of the filing it was read from.

Where the data overlaps, and what Palanor adds.

Earnings calls and filings

Also covered by Quartr

Palanor doesn’t serve transcripts. It serves what they measure: tone and confidence scored across the S&P 500 as index-grade series (The Discourse Index, The Hesitation Index), guidance checked against the results later filed (Guidance Ledger), and year-over-year diffs of every 10-K risk section (Risk Factor Changes).

Congressional trades, lobbying, contracts, insiders, patents

Also covered by Quiver Quantitative

Read from the public records themselves (House and Senate reports, LDA filings, USAspending, SEC Forms 3, 4 and 5, USPTO), with a link back to the source on every row, and rolled up into S&P 500 series that sit in the same lattice as macro and market data.

Macro and economic series

Also covered by Trading Economics, Macrobond

Each series carries its license and attribution in the response, is checked for freshness every day, and feeds Custom Indices, Schemas and Currents in the same schema and under the same key.

Market and industry numbers

Also covered by Statista

Palanor doesn’t model market sizes. Where it publishes a company number, it is the number the company filed, with a link to the filing.

All of it sits in one lattice: a single schema, one search, one weight system and one key across macro, markets, the physical world, geopolitics and company filings.

Questions

What is Palanor Data?
The headless line of Palanor, the Enterprise Intelligence Platform. It serves the same lattice the platform reads, public series, Palanor-built indices and readings, and datasets refined from public filings, to any agent or system over MCP and a REST API, with one key.
What is the difference between Open, Derived and Refined?
Open is public-domain and openly licensed data, cleaned into one schema. Derived is what Palanor computes: Custom Indices, Schema readings, Currents, Discourse scores and Foresight. Refined is structured data Palanor extracts from public filings, such as the Guidance Ledger and Risk Factor Changes, with the filing cited on every row.
How do I know where a number came from?
Every signal in an API or MCP response carries a provenance block naming the source, the publisher, the license class and the attribution owed. Palanor records every upstream in a provenance ledger. A source whose license is unknown is never served.
Why aren’t stock prices in the API?
Equity, ETF, crypto and FX prices come from a licensed market data provider. They are shown inside the platform and never redistributed through the API or MCP.
Can I use Custom Indices in my own product or fund?
Reading them through the API is covered by your key. Using a Custom Index in a product, a fund or a redistribution needs an index license. Request one through the index licensing form.
Are congressional trades in the API?
No. They are published on public pages at palanor.com/congress-trades, with a link to every filing, and as aggregate signals. The record-level API is not offered.
