Forecast disclosures

These disclosures apply to every forecast Palanor, Inc. (“Palanor”) shows: Continuation, Palanor Foresight™, the Adoption curve, the ranges drawn around them, the possible paths drawn inside those ranges, and the published track record. They form part of the Terms of Service. Where the two differ on a forecast, these disclosures govern.

1. What a forecast is

A forecast is a statistical projection produced automatically from a signal’s own history and, for Palanor Foresight, from other signals that have moved with it. It extends a pattern in past data forward. It is not a statement of fact, a promise, or a prediction that any outcome will occur, and it does not account for events that past data does not reflect.

2. Not advice

Forecasts are decision-support information. They are not financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and they are not an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, commodity, currency, derivative or other instrument, or to pursue any strategy. Palanor is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or commodity trading adviser. Forecasts are general and are not tailored to any person’s circumstances, objectives or risk tolerance.

3. Your decisions are your own

You are solely responsible for how you use a forecast. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for any decision. Verify it independently and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

4. Uncertainty is part of the forecast

The shaded range around a forecast is a statistical range, not a limit. By design, actual outcomes fall outside it about a third of the time, and they can fall far outside it. The faint lines inside the range are simulated possible paths: they illustrate variation and are not predictions. Forecasts can be materially wrong, and the signals and models behind them can fail without warning.

5. Past performance and back-tested results

Palanor publishes how its forecasts have performed at palanor.com/foresight/accuracy. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Results labelled as hold-out tests are hypothetical: they are produced by re-running today’s models on historical data, which may since have been revised, with the benefit of knowing which models and signals to use. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations and do not reflect how forecasts shown at the time would have performed.

6. Data and models change

Forecasts depend on data from third parties that may be delayed, revised, incomplete or wrong. Palanor may change its models, calibrations and data sources at any time, and a forecast may change when it does. Palanor does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any data or forecast, and has no obligation to update a forecast or to tell you when it changes.

7. Sharing forecasts

If you share or republish a forecast where the Terms of Service allow it, you must identify it as a Palanor forecast and not present it as fact, advice or a guarantee. Forecasts of licensed market data may not be redistributed.

8. No warranty; limitation of liability

Forecasts are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or merchantability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Palanor and its officers, employees and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage arising from any use of, or reliance on, a forecast, including trading or investment losses, lost profits and indirect or consequential damages. The limitation of liability in the Terms of Service applies.
